Tabitha has new opportunities for volunteers

Published on 30.05.2011.

Do you have any time to spare? Tabitha Singapore has a very active calender for sales in Singapore of the beautiful silk products made by the Tabitha ladies in Cambodia.  Things quieten down a little bit over the school holiday vacations, ie starting with the American school going on holiday at the begining of June through to mid/end August when most of the International schools return.

SAS kindly give us access to a room ("the stockroom") at the school where we store our products and we have a number of volunteers who work an array of hours in the stockroom.  This stockroom closes whilst the school is closed for vacation, however with the ever moving life of expats in Singapore, we will be looking for some new volunteers who may be interested in helping out from the end of August.

We are looking for anyone who may be interested in giving a maximum of 1 day per week of their time, from 10am to 3pm on a Wednesday.  If you are able to give this amount of time we would very much appreciate it, however, similarity if you feel you could attend one day per month and only in the mornings we would also love to talk to you, our aim is to allow volunteers to work in a flexible way which suits them.

The work entails dealing with any customers who wish to buy Tabitha products, the stockroom tend to be at its busiest over the lunch break. You would be working in as part of a team alongside experienced volunteers, who know the products.

If you are interested please get in touch with us at [email protected], We have over 620 Tabitha families in Cambodia who produce beautiful products and who would be very grateful for your help!
